About:
Andre af Maria was born in Dresden in 1986, Germany. He moved to England and studied Fine Art at the School of the Arts and Drama at Loughborough University.
For the Finals Exhibition in June 2014 in Loughborough he decided to create together with his peers Ewan Thoth and Alberta Pessao the group exhibition "Liminality".
Andre af Maria's "Trugbild Series 4" (digital collage and watercolour version) won the Edward Sharp price of Loughboroug University and was purchased for the university art collection.
Most of Andre's projects start from photographic images that are then turned into collages, transformed into mixed media or video work.
