About Trugbild series digital collage & watercolour version:

This is a version of the Trubild series where digital collages are printed with archival pigment on watercolour paper  and are overpainted with watercolour washes creating unicates. As in the pure digital collages, "Trugbild" refers to an imaginary place combining two places. Furthermore, it hints at the fact that they are not really "paintings" but a kind of trick that the artist uses to unify the contrasting places even more. However, this is without result as one can still slightly see the border between the two different places through the transparent watercolour what adds another level of interpretation.

The final work then is the mounted on plywood panels (38cm x 29cm or 43cm x 29cm; other formats are also available).
